Loved it! The staff was super friendly, the food was huge and absolutely delicious! The cook came out and ask how our food was and if we enjoyed it, our server kept our glasses full and was on top of anything we needed! It was the most pleasant dining experience I've had in a long time!!! My husband and I both agree we will definitely be returning to eat there soon!
I found this place pretty much by accident if you will.. but it was no mistake.. the food is excellent.. masssive portions.. more food than you money could buy and the stafff and owner are the best... take your time.. enjoy your meal and the awesome conversation...
Building doesn't look like much but the food... WOW! Huge portions and very tasty. Great place if youve really worked up an appetite! Dishes seem fresh and homemade. Love Ponderosa. Needed somewhere to eat on our way to New Mexico and came across this restaurant and it’s good reviews….and it delivered! Definitely looks and feels sketch but the owner is kind and funny. It’s true that he’ll make whatever you want even if it’s not on the menu - as long as he has the ingredients. Everything he makes is fresh - for this reason he explains there is a wait for food to get to your table but honestly I feel like it wasn’t that long for someone who was making 5 different dishes for our family while also taking orders over the phone. Basically - Delicious food from someone who cares about the food and his customers.
Great food! When I heard the portions were overflowing, I was skeptical, but the serving sizes and prices were surprisingly awesome!

If I could give this place more than five stars I would. It is an absolute hidden gem. The chef make gourmet level food for an incredible price. Don't let the run down looking exterior fool you!
If u are ever in this part of texas u have to eat here it will blow your mind My fave part is he can cook anything u can think of. food so big it's like getting 4 meals in 1 great place to spend 15 bux to eat 3 meals Super amazing
